Circelli, Thinel Extend Their Point Streaks

(Amarillo, TX) – Collin Circelli's two goals were enough as the Odessa Jackalopes outlasted the Amarillo Gorillas for a 2-1 win on Sunday at the Amarillo Civic Center.  The win pulls Odessa to within two points of winning the CHL's Governor's Cup trophy for best record in the regular season.

Odessa scored the game's opening goal when Circelli scored on a loose puck along the right side of the goal crease at 8:58 of the first period.  Neither team scored in period two.

In the third period Circelli made it 2-0 for Odessa at 7:22.  Will Bodine added the assist.  David Nimmo recorded Amarillo's only goal with a deflection at 14:19

The Odessa Jackalopes are the Central Hockey League affiliate for the NHL’s New York Islanders and the AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers.  The team is in the middle of their 13th season in the Permian Basin.  Season tickets, mini-plans, and single game tickets are available by calling (432) 552-PUCK.
